Meet Pure Cacao Company of Wouter from the Netherlands and his wife Rennae from Jamaica, both have a background as a Pastry Chef.

From the sun-kissed fields of Jamaica they get the hibiscus and the sweet cranberries. The bar also contains beets, which makes the bar a bit earthier. Discover the taste of Jamaica’s strength and sweetness, summed up in a bar.

This white chocolate, specially issued for Valentine’s Day, will never be back in the assortment so this one is definitely super limited!

Flavour notes: taste creamy white chocolate with a hint of acidity from the hibiscus and cranberry and earthiness from the beetroot.

Cocoa by Dennis Bodie
The cocoa used by PURE Chocolate is supplied by Dennis Bodie. A farmer in a hamlet in the middle of the John Crow Mountains called Tom’s Hope (in Fellowship in the parish of Portland). To find Bodie’s farm, you really need the help of the locals. There are no street names, no house numbers, and the farm has no name either. Dennis Bodie is the farm. It’s his pride; He has pledged his heart and soul to his farm, does not go on holiday but, in his own words, enjoys the sound of the stream and the nature around him every day.

The cocoa is a cross between Criollo and Trinitario, fermented and dried by hand. When making chocolate, what happens at harvest and beyond is crucial. Thanks to the special process, the special cocoa taste of the original cocoa beans is preserved as much as possible.
