Meet Mellow Chocolate bean-to-bar chocolate makers from Denmark, Copenhagen!

A smooth chocolate bar with a surprising texture. This bar is made on cocoa beans from the social cooperative Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania.

A blend of Picual, Koroneiki, Arbosana and Arbequina olive oil varieties from Alentejo, Portugal, are incorporated into this bean-to-bar chocolate that brings out floral and fruit notes.

Olive varieties of Picual, Koroneiki, Arbosana & Arbequina grown in Alentejo, Portugal are cold-pressed into single-origin olive oil called “Olivais do Sul”.

At Mellow, we mix the olive oil in gentle amounts into our Kokoa Kamili chocolate to create a chocolate with a whole new mouthfeel. Cocoa formulation 63% Trinitario cocoa – 10% olive oil. Handmade in Copenhagen.

In 2019, Mellow Chocolate started its journey in a modest, old wooden attic room. Their unchanging mission has always been to create chocolate of the purest and highest quality, using only two carefully chosen ingredients: carefully produced cocoa beans and cane sugar.

The artisanal processing of these beans into chocolate takes place by hand in their shop in Copenhagen. Their methods, products, and goals are all based on a sustainable approach, with ethical cocoa farming, purely organic ingredients, and packaging that is free of renewable plastic.
