For the chocolate lover, our 100% bar made from one ingredient – cocoa beans. In our version, we didn’t add any extra cocoa butter that is otherwise common. We say – why add milk to the coffee when you can drink it black.

Darkness is an intense chocolate experience. It has a fairly high acidity that balances the dried fruit notes in the cocoa. For the chocolate lover who wants to get the most out of the beans. We roasted them super lightly so as not to get toasted notes, but rather the full flavor of the bean.


Kokoa Kamili only works with top-quality beans, mainly of the trinitario variety. Kokoa Kamili’s activities are carried out in the small village of Mbingu in the Kilombero Valley, where the savannah meets the Udzungwa Mountains.

The cocoa is fermented in boxes. Usually six days with turns on days three and five. They are later dried in the sun on raised dry beds.

Kamili pays the farmers a premium for wet cocoa, and by buying wet cocoa, they can ensure a high-quality consistency in fermentation and drying. For the farmers, this also means less work pressure and more compensation. We have been working with Kokoa Kamili since 2016.
