The 92% Gorilla Bar is an amalgamation of two special projects. Thanks to these projects, both the habitat of the endangered gorilla in Congo and that of the orangutan in Indonesia is protected.
The chocolate is made from Forastero cocoa. By eating this chocolate you protect the gorillas and offer the inhabitants a better future!
The last mountain gorillas live in the Virunga National Park in Eastern Congo. To prevent the deterioration of their habitat by humans, cocoa has been planted on the edge of the park. The cocoa provides the residents with extra income so that they do not threaten the gorillas’ habitat.
Arenga forest sugar from the project of the Masarang Foundation has been added to this Gorilla cacao. Together with the local population, this Foundation protects the habitat of the Orangutan by, among other things, planting new forest and harvesting the arenga forest sugar from it.
