On Saturday the 1st of June Rita, Marjan and Sanna are organizing an informal Japanese chocolate get-together in Amsterdam!

It’s a great chance for all of us to meet up and to discover something special in the field of chocolate again.

For this special first edition, we have invited Kevin Lühmann all the way from Hannover, Germany. Kevin is a pastry chef and a certified chocolate sommelier who studied, worked and lived in Japan for a while. His specialty is ”The Japanese bean-to-bar market”.

What to expect: An overview of the Japanese mass chocolate market, an explanation about the differences and peculiarities. An introduction of the most important bean-to-bar brands in Japan and why bean-to-bar is known to most of the Japanese consumers! Kevin will show some specialty products and will introduce some of the most important and famous Japanese chocolate makers and chocolatiers. A tasting (YAY!) of all different chocolate bars, which Kevin brings from Japan, and at the end there is a room for a discussion and Q&A.

When: 1st of June – 18.30

Where: Motion Cafe, Eerste Van Swindenstraat 547, 1093 LC Amsterdam

Costs: 25 euro p.p., including one beverage of choice.

Workshop: takes about 2,5 hours and will be given in English.
