Meet Mellow Chocolate bean-to-bar chocolate makers from Denmark, Copenhagen!

A bold chocolate bar with umami and natural ocean minerals.

The cocoa beans for this bar come from the social cooperative Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania. This chocolate is handmade by gently toasting and slow conched. Once tempered and made into the chocolate mold, we add wild Scandinavian sugar seaweed from Kattegat, this yields a natural umami and natural mineral sea salt to this bean-to-bar chocolate.

Freshly harvested sugar seaweed is sun-dried, ground and added to the temperate chocolate bar in Kattegat. Cocoa formulation 70% Trinitario cocoa. Handmade in Copenhagen.

Mellow Chocolate, a high-quality chocolate maker from Denmark with a unique focus on single-origin, bean-to-bar chocolate.

In 2019, Mellow Chocolate started its journey in a modest, old wooden attic room. Their unchanging mission has always been to create chocolate of the purest and best quality, using only two carefully chosen ingredients: carefully produced cocoa beans and cane sugar.

The entire process of turning these beans into chocolate is done by hand in their artisan shop in Copenhagen. Their methods, products, and goals are all inspired by a sustainable approach, focusing on ethical cocoa farming, purely organic ingredients, and packaging without renewable plastic.

Each bar contains 53 grams of pure indulgence and is composed of the following organic ingredients:

– Seaweed*
